1. Purpose

Verification is designed to reduce impersonation and fraudulent profiles. It is optional unless the platform or a specific feature requires it. Verification does not guarantee qualifications, licensing, or session outcomes.

2. What You Can Upload

Upload only documents that you are authorized to share. Typical accepted categories include:

  • Educational Degree/Certificate (e.g., university degree, course certificate)
  • Company ID Card (where permitted by your employer)
  • Professional Certificate (e.g., industry certifications)
  • Employment Proof (e.g., offer letter snippet, relieving letter snippet)
  • Other (support may request additional context)

3. How to Upload (Step-by-step)

  1. Open your mentor dashboard and go to verification.
  2. Use the platform’s mobile upload link/QR flow to capture a clear photo (recommended).
  3. Select the correct document type and optionally add a short description.
  4. Provide consent for processing and retention/deletion as described here.
  5. Submit the upload and wait for review status updates.

4. Photo Quality Requirements

  • Document must be fully visible (no cropped edges).
  • Text should be readable (avoid blur, glare, reflections).
  • Use good lighting; keep the camera steady.
  • Do not edit, filter, or watermark the image.

5. How We Process Verification Documents

  • We review documents to determine whether they reasonably support verification.
  • Access is restricted to authorized reviewers/admins for verification and security purposes.
  • Verification status (e.g., pending/verified/rejected) may be reflected on your profile; the document image itself is not intended to be publicly displayed.

6. Retention and Deletion

We delete stored verification document files and associated records after up to 60 days from submission by default. We may retain data longer if required by applicable law, or where reasonably necessary for fraud prevention, security investigations, or dispute resolution.

7. Security Practices

  • Uploads are transmitted over HTTPS where available.
  • Storage uses access controls appropriate to the environment (local or cloud storage).
  • We maintain audit/consent logs for accountability and compliance.

8. Your Responsibilities

  • Upload only genuine, unaltered documents.
  • Do not upload other people’s documents.
  • Do not include unnecessary sensitive details if not required for verification.

9. Help

If you have questions or need help with verification, contact: [add support email].

If you have a complaint or grievance related to document verification, contact: [add grievance officer contact].

If you do not consent to this processing, do not upload verification documents.
